Alpine Europe: Innovation in the Circular Economy 2026 Summer School Begins
Yesterday, 15 June 2026, marked the start of the two-week Alpine Europe: Innovation in the Circular Economy 2026 Summer School, which brings together students from the University of Primorska, Oregon State University, Saarland University, and partner institutions through learning, collaboration, and intercultural exchange.
The first day featured a guided tour of Ljubljana, where participants explored the city’s rich history, culture, and architecture. The tour was led by Dr Črtomir Tavzes, a researcher at UP IAM InnoRenew CoE, who introduced the group to Slovenia’s capital and its unique heritage. Participants were also accompanied by Dr Andreja Kutnar, Head of the Department, and Dr Mohammad Derikvand.
The summer school is led by the University of Primorska and Oregon State University and is organized by UP FAMNIT, UP IAM, and the NEBAP Hub in collaboration with Oregon State University and the Transform4Europe European University Alliance. As such, the programme represents another step forward in strengthening the international visibility of the Transform4Europe network and its partners.
We look forward to an inspiring programme of lectures, study visits, hands-on workshops, and the development of new international connections.
