IRIC2026 Conference to be hosted at UP IAM InnoRenew CoE
The International InnoRenew CoE Conference 2026 (IRIC2026) will take place on 5–6 November 2026 at the UP IAM InnoRenew CoE building in Izola, Slovenia. The conference provides an international forum for exploring renewable materials and their application in creating healthy and sustainable buildings, while placing a particular emphasis on supporting the career development of doctoral students and early-career researchers.
Researchers are kindly invited to submit abstracts by 15 August 2026 and participate in this year’s event.

The conference will cover a broad range of topics, including advanced manufacturing technologies, information processing, creativity and society, buildings, health, and materials. Contributions addressing other related themes are also welcome. IRIC2026 aims to foster the exchange of the latest scientific knowledge and innovations in renewable materials that contribute to improving quality of life in the built environment.
In addition to scientific presentations, the programme will feature workshops on the responsible use of artificial intelligence and citizen science, as well as networking opportunities for participants. Further programme details will be announced soon.
The keynote address will be delivered by Drs. Gijs Bruggink, CEO and regenerative architecture expert at the Dutch ecological architecture firm ORGA. His presentation will focus on timber construction, biophilic design, and the creation of healthy living and working environments.
The conference welcomes submissions presenting doctoral research, ongoing research projects, methodological discussions, and preliminary results. Contributions from doctoral students and early-career researchers are particularly encouraged.
