The University of Primorska awards the following recognitions and honors to employees, students and individuals:

1. The title "Honorary Doctor of the University of Primorska";
2. The title "Honorary Senator of the University of Primorska";
3. The title "Professor Emeritus of the University of Primorska";
4. Solemn certificate of the University of Primorska;
5. Golden Plaque of the University of Primorska;
6. Award for scientific excellence of the University of Primorska;
7. Award for pedagogical excellence of the University of Primorska;
8. Srečko Kosovel Award for students of the University of Primorska;
9. Recognition of the University of Primorska for students of the University of Primorska.

According to Article 5 of the Rules on Recognitions and Awards of the University of Primorska (slo.) (No.: 002-16/18 dated July 11, 2018; Rules), the deadlines for submitting proposals for recognitions and awards are as follows:

• For points 1 – 5 and 7 – 9 from Article 2 of the Rules the proposals must be submitted to the Commission no later than Thursday, November 30, 2023;
• For point 6 of Article 2 of the Rules, the proposals must be submitted to the Commission no later than Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

The award is decided by the University Senate, based on the proposal of the Commission for Recognitions and Awards of the University of Primorska, which leads the process of selection and preparation of proposals for the awarding of recognitions and prizes. Recognitions, awards and certificates are awarded by the Rector of the University of Primorska at the University's gala Academy.

Note 1: Expert opinions on the justification of the honors for items 1 to 5 in Article 2 of the Rules should be attached to the proposal for the candidate for honors and recognitions of UP.

Note 2: The candidate's consent for the process of awarding honors and recognitions of the University of Primorska should be attached to the proposal for the candidate for honors and recognitions of UP.
