The event's purpose was to foster connections between new and returning students, offering a chance for them to get acquainted and facilitating personal interactions. Contact offices, including international offices and student affairs offices, were present to provide valuable insights to students, aiding them in their academic journeys. Notably, the event also saw active participation from the teaching staff, allowing them to establish personal connections, a unique advantage of studying at the University of Primorska.

In addition to introducing UP members, the event showcased various centers and units within the University, emphasizing their commitment to community engagement and integrating academic content with the local environment. This year, UP Tutors and the International Service joined the event, acquainting students with international opportunities, particularly within the context of the European University Transform 4 Europe initiative.

Building upon the success of the previous year, ŠtartUP welcomed over 40 local associations and organizations. These entities recognized the event as an ideal platform to engage with students and appreciated the valuable role students play in seaside communities. The event also garnered positive responses from local businesses. A noteworthy addition to this year's event was the participation of the Municipality of Koper, which co-organized the event and extended a warm welcome to the students, further enhancing the city's support for the initiative.

Stands were set up with a symbolic entry fee, with all proceeds directly donated to the "Pomagalčica Pomagalčica" Association, adding a humanitarian dimension to the event. More than 400 students attended the event, where they were warmly greeted by over 100 staff members and representatives from various associations, creating a truly vibrant and enriching atmosphere in the new Žusterna Seaside Park.
