Prof Ivan Luković from the University of Belgrade visited us as part of the Erasmus+ exchange and delivered a lecture at the UP IAM and UP Famnit Monday seminar on computer science and informatics.

Today's modern business involves acquiring and storing vast amounts of data, larger than ever before. Most often, the collected data are used in a short time frame, and then they are archived and almost not used efficiently. On the other hand, these data represent significant value that a company can use to achieve its goals and ensure sustainable development. Dr. Ivan Luković lectured on the "big data crisis" to students, staff, and other interested parties on Monday, November 13, 2023.

"I am not here for the first time in Slovenia, and I always enjoy coming back. UP is a university that is growing rapidly and has a special atmosphere, offering excellent opportunities for students and teachers. We started collaborating in 2018 with my first visit, and I believe we will continue in this way. I enjoy interacting with students and teachers, and at UP FAMNIT, I am involved in some topics related to data science. We are open to more collaboration opportunities, including through the CEEPUS network," added Prof Luković.
